The Not Business as Usual Conference October 27th! Press Release

The Not Business As Usual Conference to be held on October 27th at the Holiday Inn in Mansfield, just announced their charity sponsor this week.

The hosts Focused and Simple Business Solutions will be donating 10% of the ticket proceeds to the Hockomock YMCA’s Reach Out For Youth and Families Campaign.  According to the YMCA’s website: “In 2010 the Reach Out For Youth and Families provided more than $1.1 million in confidential scholarship assistance and program subsidies to over 15,000 local children, adults, and families.”

“We wanted to partner with a local charity that would give back to the community,” said Greg De Simone, conference host.  ”The Hockomock YMCA was a natural fit.”

The Not Business As Usual Conference is an all day business development event where entrepreneurs, small business owners and business change agents in Southeastern MA and RI will gather to learn new approaches to grow their businesses.  ”Eight local experts will be sharing their insights on networking, client relationship building, social media and effective communication,” said De Simone.  ”This is an event that will stretch businesses out of their comfort zones.”

Tickets for the event went on sale this week. From now until September 17th when you purchase a Full Conference Pass, you’ll receive an additional pass free.  Tri-Town Chamber Members receive an additional 20% off the Full Conference Package when tickets are ordered through the chamber.

Demand for Low Price Cotton T-shirts

Is Cotton on The Rise?

The recent plateaued cost of cotton has helped us meet this challenge. Cottonseed has plateaued during the summer 2011 months. Its helps us as a screen printing business, hold the prices for our re-orders from the previous year to stop from increasing.

Back in 2010 when the price of cotton nearly increased over 100%, it was forecasted that in 2011, the cottonseed supply was expected to rebound. Better planning tactics, forecasting of product demand, and improved weather conditions are all likely factors that could be responsible for this plateau. The fashion industry is very pleased for this news and is hoping that it stays like this for years to come.

Share with us your struggles or hardships over this past year in regards to Cotton prices.

The Hottest Fashion Trends-What’s In?

Next Level Tri-Blend shirt

Here at ESP Solutions we keep track of the latest fashion trends and will be bringing you the newest and hottest fashions. Here is what we have been observing:

What’s In?

Hot Fabrics

Tri-Blended, Moisture Wicking, Stain Resistant, Vibrant colors are all fabrics that are in for the summer. But what is exceptionally unique for this year? The new Next Level Apparel line offers a young contemporary style to the industry that offers longer lengths, tri-blends 50/50/50, and burnout shirts, tank tops, and long sleeves to offer as an option for our customers.

Longer Lengths

The longer lengths are in especially to cover up those unwanted areas and accommodate both the “average Joes” as well as the taller folks. The longer lengths are in with fashion and seen throughout the fashion industry as a trend that is definitely in.

Tri-Blends

The tri-blends are nice for the spring and summer months because they are lighter weight and offer a look that looks good on someone that just wears is with a pair of jeans or someone tucking it into their A-lined pencil skirt and dressing it up with a pair of heals.

Burnout Tshirt

Burnout Tees

Lastly the burnout T-shirts are a huge hit to the fashion world. This vintage look is something that screen prints quite well and a wonder to  Brand your logo on any of these shirts and you have yourself a trendy, fashionable piece that everyone will want!

6 Tips For Designing Your Own T Shirts

If you are creative and love to produce original designs then you’ll love making your own t shirts. There is no greater satisfaction than for someone to compliment you on a design and to see the look of surprise on their face when you tell them you made it yourself.Nowadays, it is easier than ever to make original custom tee shirts without resorting to poor-quality, iron-on transfers. ESP Solutions has a free online software program that lets you:

  • Choose from a variety of different clothing items, from t-shirts to sweatpants
  • Choose from a number of different font types
  • Choose from a selection of different stock designs
  • Upload your own artwork, logos, or pictures
  • Choose different clothing colors-you can change the color of the item instantly
  • Place the order online

Tee Shirt Designing Tips

1. Use text and images with clean lines and crisp contrast, Ideally, you want people to be able to see and understand the t-shirt design text from at least 20 feet away

2. Consider both the t shirt color and the design or text color when creating your design. ESP Solutions designing program allows you to see your design on different color t-shirts before you order. Make sure you have enough contrast otherwise you will not see your design well when printed. Note that the cost of printing white ink on a black t shirt is higher than black ink on a white t shirt

3. Decide on the exact dimensions of your design before creating it. Take a t shirt you own and lay out your size on the tee shirt to make sure the size is right

4. Choose a location for the image on the item. Do you also want a design on both front and back? Do you want something on the sleeve. The more locations to print the higher the cost

5. Decide if you want a background to your image or the surrounding area transparent. The software we use allows you to remove the background color so your image and text “pops” and looks more natural

6. Be realistic about your expectations. Do not expect on-demand garment printing technology to deliver the same color quality and sharpness that you are used to with a traditional color photo printer. No matter who prints it-the color accuracy and color saturation will vary, and the overall color of the print is typically tinted by the underlying shirt color. We recommend that you make your colors a little brighter in your design as they may not be as bright when printed on clothing.

We hope these tips make your project a success. If you need more design tips or help using the software program just give us a call toll-free at 1-800-750-1035 and we’ll be glad to help.
